LINNEA SNYDER
:
The Little Prince was the most fun thing that I have ever done. It was my first ever show and it was an AMAZING experience. All of the kids are just one big happy family. We were really lucky because we all got along so great. I loved every minute of every rehearsal starting in November with once a week singing rehearsals. I remember that every Saturday we got a new piece of music and we were always so excited to try it out. We started out having Richard as our musical director, but then I remember the day that Jamie came. He is sooooo awesome and such a nice and great musical director. Then I remember in February having practices a few times a week. And then the run through with everybody singing. It was sooooo amazing! I was sitting next to my friend Sara (who has become one of my closest friends even though we didn't know each other before the show started) and I remember looking at her and being like "Wow this is so cool." Then we got into dance rehearsals...those really long days when the nice parents would bring us food. Contrary to popular belief, I did actually eat the food. Even though there is this really funny picture of me and Sara at lunch where Sara is wolfing down this burrito and all this other food and I'm picking at a piece of fruit on my plate. I remember that one day going across the street to the park and the boarded up fountain and running around like crazy to get out energy out. One day, we came into rehearsal and there was this mobile that was made out of huge paper cranes. Sara, and my friend Nick and I were like "Where did that come from?" Then Andy the Prince came up and he was like "I made it" and we didn't believe him. So then Denni (who I also love) was talking to us and said that Andy had made the mobile. Well then the competition was on and Sara and I made this mobile for Jamie. I am really glad we did because some more very good friends, Amelia and Lillian, helped us with it and we wouldn't have become friends if we hadn't. All the adults in the show were so so nice and so were Nate and Andy. I remember the first time that we saw the stage and were on it was so magical. There was a rope along the edge to keep us from falling into the orchestra pit. And I remember getting our costumes. Mine was green and white and before it was mine it had been Rebecca Mersinger's. I also felt really special in the show because I got to hold up the first picture. I remember sitting in the back waiting for the show to start with Tieg sitting on my lap and talking to Nick and Lydia. It was so peaceful and nice. And then I loved the baobab scene. Everyone was so excited when we learned the hand dance and we would go around doing it all the time. I had Joan Scheirman's gloves. I think my favorite scene to do was the Act 1 Finale. Everytime I stood on top of the sand dune in front the plane I would get tingles down my spine because what we were doing was so cool. I had the blue burka-type hat that belonged to Lizzy Kaufman before me. It was the same kind of hat that Megan (the Rose) had except hers was pink. I think the most fun we ever had was that one time that Sara found the babushka.......That is way too long of a story though. I also loved the opening night party, folding paper cranes all the time, and doing our dance for Clair. Little Prince is awesome!

SARA ZIENTEK: The Little Prince has been a great experience for me! I made a TON of new friends, and a TON of memories. For instance: the time I found a babushka on the piano and I took it and always wore it (except for in the show)....our stage manager took it and hid it in a klennex box! We got back at the stage manager and toilet papered her office on the last day. The first time we went in our windows, I was in a top one where the lamplighter came out and I hit the ladder that he came out on and it moved!!!! very very SCAREY!! Or who could forget our opening show where almost everyone was falling down on the stage? But I know I will never forget my sombrero, my crane (named him Oliver), my lovely baobob gloves, my rose costume, my PJ costume, and our lights!? I also remember the great times I had doing my rose routine! the one time when I was running out my rose custom got caught on to one of the older roses and my leaf ripped. Another time was when the snakes mustache fell off and when i was about to sit down I had to hurry up and grab it so the hole song one hand was clutched holding the mustache with hair coming out of it (while this guy in the front row was laughing). And last but not least one of the adult roses bead fell off her leaves so when we were going off I had to kick it off stage! good times good times!! I know I had a great time doing this show and I LOVE YA'll. You will NEVER be forgotten!!! Love always Sawa (AKA Chatty Cathy)

ALEX MATTHEW ODYA-WEIS: The Little Prince was one of the most beautiful shows I have been in. The scenery and costumes, the music and movememt, the lighting... all came together to create a masterpiece. I am proud to have been a part of this premiere performance. I have been in 21 show in 2 1/2 years including several lead roles, 7 professional venues and two shows in NYC, so I have been busy. Little Prince was a good one to stop on because it is time for a break, I have a new puppy and I am beginning high school in the fall. (A dance major at Milwaukee HIgh School of the Arts). The Skylight staff was great to work with! Love to you all.
